Electricity crises in pakistan

The latest crisis that has Pakistani’s from all walks of life up in arms is the lack of electrical power throughout the country. While rolling blackouts or load shedding as its locally known has always been a staple of daily life in Pakistan, the problem has become acute in the last couple of years.  The power cuts during this time has amounted to 20-22 hours a day in most small cities and even cities like Karachi were seeing 18+ hours of load shedding.it seems that the present crisis is a result of bad management and the lack of foresight.Instead of issuing stamps and coins bearing Benazir’s logo and dedicating existing airports to her name, the Government should focus on the problems of everyday people and try to make their lives a little bit better. Everyone understands that Pakistan is facing serious problems requiring long term solutions and the present government can’t be expected to make significant headway in the short term, yet there are things where it can make a difference. Eliminating load shedding during the winter months could just be one of them.

In the nick of time: Child playing with grenade averts disaster (july 7th)

The police stopped a terrorist attack when they seized a drum full of hand grenades on Wednesday evening.The drum was found in some bushes at Super Highway near New Sabzi Mandi within Sachal police limits karachi.it appears that terrorists were trying to smuggle the grenades into the city but they stored them there because of security checks.

The Karachi Transport Union has called a strike in the city till the transporters are provided with protection. President of the union, Irshad Bokhari, says the strike has been called after four buses were targeted by gunmen today.
Meanwhile, Presidency’s spokesperson Farhatullah Babar says that President Zardari is gravely concerned about the continuous acts of violence in Karachi. He said the President has summoned a meeting of top level officials to find an end to violence in Karachi. this target killing is done by different political parties nd innocent are suffering because of them :(

The sarfaraz shah killing has remain a famous news in our country nd the rangers men arrested for his killing are still in jail.. what i say that you  cant prosecute a rangers man if he was on duty...sarfaraz killing was a mishap not act of terrorism..the victim was a criminal  and he got punished for what he did.

Women's rights in Pakistan is a big question often raised in the West. It is believed that women has no rights or privileges in the male dominated society of Pakistan.The women in Pakistan have been constantly complaining of having being isolated from the mainstream of society. Women feel being badly treated by our male oriented society, the women in Pakistan are almost equal to men. They are equal in potential as the men.
 More then 75 percent of women in Pakistan experience domestic violence. This violence can range from beatings, to sexual violence or torture, to broken bones and very serious injury caused by throwing  of acid on them or burning them alive in the vast majority of cases where women lost their lives as a result of violence at home, it was their husbands and in-laws who were to blame; while at other times it was the victims’ brothers and fathers.Some women who want divorce or separation from their hubbies were violently beaten up by them black mailed my them sexually violeted.. since another form of violence commonly faced by women in Pakistan is sexual violence.Women who seem independent or those who work are consistently sexually harassed, many times by male members of staff as independence and working away from home are seen as signs of indecency. This harassment is not only inflicted on lower and middle class women, but even female members of parliament have reported consistent harassment from men in their constituencies.Acid throwing is another abuse on women to “teach them a lesson”. In many instances, men who had proposed for a woman’s hand in marriage only to be declined have resulted in throwing acid on the girls not only that women who wants separation from their hubbies,also face such consequences because she has dishonoured him

according to the report of july 6th 2011 the total number of violence against women in 2010 were reported 8000 against a figure of 8548 in 2009.total number of cases by terriotry are .in punjab 5492 ,in sindh 1652 in Kp 650 ,in balochistan 79 nd in Isl 127 this shows that the most violence against women occured in cities n villages of punjab province.

my uni friend sarmad whose my class mate aswell is a huge fan of djokovic the number one tennis player on sunday djokovic won the twimbeldon final n became the number 1 tennis player. my friend was very happy on his big win nd give me a treat on monday 4th july 2011 in uni..this shows how much crazy fan lover is my friend for djokovic...:p 

UAE wanted armed predators

The UAE was seeking armed Predator drones from the US in 2004, secret US diplomatic cables revealed. Although UAE officials claimed they needed them “to control [the UAE`s] long land and maritime borders”, it is not altogether clear from the cables and can only be speculated why the Emirati authorities needed armed unmanned aircraft and who the real target for such long-range weapons systems might be.
The US eventually declined to sell Predators to the UAE, after which the UAE continued to approach other countries for UAV systems. The UAE also set up the “Abu Dhabi UAV Investment Company” in February 2007, and managed to produce its first drone, called Smart Eye, in 2010, which is considered to have a longer range and endurance than even the Predator. Smart Eye is designed to fly 135 hours without refuelling.
