IS PAKISTAN A DEMOCRATIC STATE?

More than six decades have passed to the creation of Pakistan. It has faced lot of troubles and is going through worst circumstances. And one of the reason for all these problems probably lies in its basis. WAS Pakistan made a democratic State?? or it was designed a Islamic country?Many of the speeches of Our Founding Father Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah clears this doubt as he says “you are free to go to you temples mosques and you can practice your rituals” this clears that a person having any religion can live in Pakistan and to protect him is the responsibility of Government. And his many speeches even show that Pakistan is  a Islamic State. BUT somewhere it is clear that he wanted a secular state.There is a worst confusion even in his speeches. His most of speeches are diplomatic. IF Pakistan is Islamic state then i dont get why Pakistanise are running after democracy? Many have this idea that Pakistan is democratic state and democracy is the only form of Government which should be implemented in PakistanIn democracy it is clear that every one can be the ruler every one is equal no one is superior but in pakistan only Muslims are superior. The constitution of  pakistan clearly says a non muslim can never be a President or PrimeMinister of the state.So its really important that firstly it should be cleared that Pakistan is a Democratic state of a Isalmic state?
